Volin: The Sports Illustrated Pats Report 'Was BS'
The New England Patriots continue to pile on the headlines, with reports from ESPN and SI this week continuing to expose the NFL and the defending Super Bowl champs for their cheating ways.
"I thought the SI.com report was BS," the Boston Globe's Ben Volin said on the Joe Rose Show. "It was a bunch of unnamed coaches and execs and players who sounded like they had some sour grapes. You know we lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl, and we think they were cheating. Unless you're willing to put your name on it I don't think it's very fair to the Patriots at all.
"I though the ESPN report was very interesting. It kind of confirmed a lot of things that we expected that deflategate was really about revenge and is driven by the owners and not necessarily Roger Goodell."
