OPA-LOCKA (CBSMiami) -- A special church service honored victims of this weekend's shootings, as well as those victimized in a double-shooting earlier this week.

Family members and friends of victims of violence came together Sunday at New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church in Opa-Locka.

Many there to honor Tavares Fullington, who was killed Tuesday outside of a convenience store. He had recently moved back to the Opa-Locka neighborhood where he grew up.

His heartbroken mother warned him about the violence after moving from the area.

"This is why I moved away from Miami right now. Ya know, because of all this killing. I tucked my children away but one had to come back. I didn't want him back here because of all this senseless killing. I'm sick of it," said Donna George.

Fullington's uncle said the community secrecy about violence must stop.

"We're looking for the community to come together. Those who know something, speak up. Say something about it because we've got your back no matter what. The law got your back. These guys is not invincible," said Leroy Presley.

Another man was shot in that attack and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police have not yet arrested the shooters.
