CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami/AP) — The University of Miami football team isn't the only part of the school's athletics program getting a boost.

Miami has received a $1 million gift that will be used to renovate the entrance to the building that houses the school's main athletics offices and meeting rooms.

The gift from the Havenick and Amdur families and their Magic City Casino will be put to use starting this summer, when the school begins renovations at the Isadore Hecht Athletic Center.

The Hecht Center was dedicated in 1979. It houses all athletics administrative offices, including the Hurricane Club and sales offices.

It's the eighth gift of $1 million or more to Miami athletics in the last 16 months.
