Universal Orlando Raises Ticket Prices

ORLANDO (CBSMiami) - If you're planning a trip to Universal Studios Florida or the Islands of Adventure this summer, it's going cost a bit more.

On Wednesday, a ticket increase was posted at the Universal Orlando Resort.

A one day ticket for either park is now $105 which matches a one day admission to Disney's Magic Kingdom.

That's the highest price in America for a one-day ticket to a single major theme park.

Florida residents get a break if they plan to visit for more than a day.

A two day base ticket is now $150 if you live in the state. That same ticket is $20 more for out-of-state visitors. Florida residents will pay $160 for a three day base ticket as compared to $180 for everyone else.

For those who like to visit both parks in one day - the park-to-park prices have also gone up.

Florida residents and visitors will now have to pay $155 for a single day, park-to-park ticket.

A two day, park-to-park, ticket costs $189 for Florida residents and $220 for out of state visitors.

The park is running a limited time promotion for visitors from out of state. By a two day, park-to-park, ticket for $220 and get a third day free.

A three day, park-to-park, ticket for Florida residents now runs $200, out of state tourists will pay $230.

This summer a new, and improved, "The Incredible Hulk Coaster" will open at Islands of Adventure as will the all new "Skull Island: Reign of Kong."
