UM Pitcher Tosses Perfect Game Against Villanova

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – History was made Tuesday night at Alex Rodriguez Park when senior right-handed pitcher Javi Salas tossed a perfect game against the Villanova Wildcats.

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Salas became just the second pitcher in school history to toss a perfect game. Salas needed just 113 pitches to mow down the Wildcats.

The Hurricanes needed a boost after starting out the season 6-5, but were able to give Salas 12 hits and run support in every inning to help seal the perfect game.
