Two Men Fatally Shot Outside Ft. Lauderdale Market

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – An investigation is underway after two men were fatally shot outside a Ft. Lauderdale business.

Around 1 p.m. Tuesday, police received a call about the shooting in the 1700 block of NW 6th Court.

When the officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the parking lot of Ray's Meat Market, a second injured man was in the roadway of Northwest 6th Street.

Investigators say the two men, identified as 63-year old Seibert Prescott and 30-year old Roger Bennett, had been involved in an argument with three other individuals.

As the argument grew more heated, and physical, one of the people Prescott and Bennett were fighting with pulled a gun. When the two men attempted to run away, they were shot.

Prescott and Bennett were taken to Broward Health Medical Center and where they were later pronounced dead.
