Two Killed After Car Drives Into Miramar Canal

MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) -- Two men did not survive an overnight crash after their car ended up in a Miramar canal.

It happened Saturday at about 12:30 a.m. near the 3400 block of S.W. 132nd Avenue.

A neighbor called 911 after seeing what appeared to be two headlights underwater.

Miramar Police went into the canal and pulled out the bodies of Alfredo Rodriguez, 36, and Luis Rodriguez Vidal, 43. They attempted CPR but were pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
