MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Two people were injured in an overnight drive-by shooting in northwest Miami-Dade.

Several people were playing dominoes in front of a home on NW 113th Terrace at 10th Avenue around midnight when gunfire erupted from a passing dark SUV.

Two young men, Michael Sanchez, 20, and Stephan St. Cyr, 19, were hit in their legs. They were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Sanchez told CBS4's Peter D'Oench that he was shot in the left leg and grazed by another bullet on his left hip. He said he was surprised by what happened and was not sure why he was shot.

"This is where I was shot," he said. "I can't pull down my pants and really show you but this is where I was hit."

Sanchez spoke outside his home Friday morning after he was released from the hospital. St. St. Cyr has also been released from the Ryder Trauma Center.

The grandmother of one of the injured men said she's shocked.

"I don't know anything, all I heard was that my grandson got shot," she said.

Police are working on getting a better description of the SUV and are trying to determine if more than one shooter was involved. They are also looking for surveillance tape.

Anyone with information should contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477) or (866) 471-8477. You can also visit crimestoppersmiami.com and select "Give a Tip."

There is a reward of up to $1,000.
