Two Electrocuted While Trimming Trees In Naples

NAPLES (AP) — Authorities say two men died after being electrocuted while they were trimming palm trees in southwest Florida.

Collier County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Michelle Batten says the men were electrocuted while landscaping Saturday near a Naples condominium.

Batten says the men were working on a 30-foot aluminum ladder that slipped and hit a live power line.

Authorities say the men were pronounced dead at a hospital.

Batten says the sheriff's office and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating.
