MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Twitter says they are shutting down the mobile app Vine - known for they're funny, creative video loops.

The company wrote a post Thursday saying they will be shutting down soon.

"Since 2013, millions of people have turned to Vine to laugh at loops and see creativity unfold. Today, we are sharing the news that in the coming months we'll be discontinuing the mobile app."

Those worried about their Vines, stay calm. The company says they will keep the website online and users will be able to access and download their Vines.

"We'll be keeping the website online because we think it's important to still be able to watch all the incredible Vines that have been made."

Users will be notified before the company makes any changes to the app or website.

Wednesday evening, the company tweeted this out ahead of their announcement the next day.
