Tropical Storm Claudette Weakens Slightly

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Tropical Storm Claudette, which formed Monday, is expected to become a post-tropical storm later Tuesday.

At 5 p.m., the center of the system was about 240 miles southeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The storm's maximum sustained winds are up to 45 mph as it moved to the northeast at 21 mph.

The storm is expected to dissipate on Wednesday.

Slow weakening is forecast, and Claudette is expected to become a post-tropical cyclone by tonight, and to dissipate by Wednesday night.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect for this storm.
