Tracking The Tropics: Tropical Depression Off Florida Dissipates

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A tropical depression which formed Monday off the southeast coast of Florida, between the Sunshine State and the Northwest Bahamas, has dissipated with the latest advisory.

At 11 a.m., the National Hurricane Center in Miami said the tropical depression had fallen apart.

The remnants of the depression remained about 60 miles east of Daytona Beach, with sustained winds of 35 mph.

Forecasters are urging people in the northwest Bahamas and on Florida's Atlantic coast to keep an eye on the storm's progress.
