Tracking The Tropics: Josephine Degenerates Into A Trough Of Low Pressure

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tropical Depression Josephine is no more as the storm has degenerated into a trough of low pressure.

As of 4:30 p.m. Sunday, the center of the storm was 255 miles northwest of the northern Leeward Islands.

The remnants are moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph, and a toward the northwest is expected Sunday night.

The remnants are forecast to recurve toward the north and northeast Tuesday and Tuesday night.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph with higher gusts.

The maximum winds associated with the remnants are forecast to continue to decrease over the next day or two.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
