PALM BEACH GARDENS (CBSMiami/AP) — A woman has been arrested after Florida Highway Patrol says she stabbed her husband alongside the Florida Turnpike with either a nail file or nail clippers.

FHP Sgt. Mark Wysocky said in a statement that the husband had pulled onto the side of the Turnpike near Palm Beach Gardens on Wednesday afternoon upon getting into an argument with his wife.

Authorities say the argument escalated and the woman stabbed the man with a nail tool.

The man sustained minor injuries and refused treatment from first responders.

The wife, who was not identified, has been charged with domestic violence.
