Traffic Pattern To Change On Parts Of Dolphin Expy

MIAMI (CBSMiami) --- Drivers on the Westbound Dolphin Expressway (SR 836) may notice a change in their commute starting Monday.

The new traffic pattern will be implemented after NW 57th Avenue.

Westbound drivers on SR 836 exiting at NW 72 Avenue will need to exit approximately one-half mile earlier, immediately after NW 57 Avenue

All westbound traffic will be shifted onto newly constructed travel lanes on the left after NW 57 Avenue

The exit ramps to SR 826 North and south will remain on the left.

In order to implement the changes the following closures will be scheduled:

All mainline westbound lanes on SR 836 will be closed at NW 57 Avenue on Sunday, November 23 between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The NW 57 Avenue ramp to westbound SR 836 will also be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Westbound drivers on SR 836 continuing west or going to the SR 826 north or south ramps can:
• Exit at NW 57 Avenue, go south
• Turn west on NW 7 Street
• Go north on Milam Dairy Road/NW 72 Avenue
• West on NW 11 Street to access the SR 836 west ramp or SR 826 ramps

Westbound drivers on SR 836 going to NW 72 Avenue can:
• Exit at NW 57 Avenue, go south
• Turn west on NW 7 Street to Milam Dairy Road/NW 72 Avenue
• Go north on Milam Dairy Road/NW 72 Avenue
• East on NW 11 Street to connect with NW 72 Avenue

Drivers on northbound NW 57 Avenue wanting to access westbound SR 836 can:
• Go west on Perimeter Road/NW 12 Street
• South on NW 72 Avenue or Milam Dairy Road
• West on NW 11 Street to access the westbound SR 836 ramp

The new traffic pattern is part of the the SR 826/SR 836 Interchange Reconstruction Project.
