Traffic Alert: Part Of Dolphin Expressway Closed For Weekend

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Part of the Dolphin Expressway is closed for most of the weekend.
Westbound SR 836 will be completely closed between I-95 and NW 27th Avenue/Unity Boulevard for the installation of tolling structures through Monday, October 20 at 5 a.m.
Drivers should follow posted detour signs.
Only emergency vehicles will be permitted to access NW 12th Avenue and NW 14th Street exits.
Detours:
Drivers on southbound I-95:
- Take the exit to westbound SR 112/Airport Expressway before reaching SR 836
- Continue westbound on SR 112/Airport Expressway to southbound NW 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road
- Take the entrance ramp to westbound SR 836 on the right
Drivers on northbound I-95:
- Continue northbound on I-95 and take the westbound SR 112/Airport Expressway exit
- Continue westbound on SR 112/Airport Expressway to southbound NW 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road
- Take the entrance ramp to westbound SR 836 on the right
Drivers on westbound I-395:
- Take the exit ramp to northbound I-95
- Exit to westbound SR 112/Airport Expressway
- Continue westbound on SR 112/Airport Expressway to southbound NW 42nd Avenue/LeJeune Road
- Take the entrance ramp to westbound SR 836 on the right
Eastbound Complete Closure
Eastbound SR 836 will be completely closed between NW 27th Avenue/Unity Boulevard and NW 12th Avenue for the installation of tolling structures on Saturday, October 18 from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., and again on both Sunday, October 19 and Monday, October 20 from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night. Drivers should follow posted detour signs.
Detours:
Drivers on eastbound SR 836:
- Exit at southbound NW 27th Avenue
- Turn left onto NW 7th Street
- Turn left onto NW 12th Avenue and take the entrance ramp to eastbound SR 836 on the right
Drivers on northbound NW 27th Avenue:
- Turn right onto NW 7th Street
- Turn left onto NW 12th Avenue and take the entrance ramp to eastbound SR 836 on the right
FDOT Ramp and Lane Closures
- The contractor for the SR 826/SR 836 Interchange Reconstruction Project will perform the following closures:
- Saturday, October 18 - Eastbound SR 836 will be closed at SR 826 between the hours of 11:45 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
Eastbound drivers on SR 836 will be guided:
- To the southbound SR 826 exit ramp
- Exit at West Flagler Street, go east
- Enter northbound SR 826 ramp to access the eastbound SR 836 ramp
Southbound drivers on SR 826 heading eastbound on SR 836 can:
- Exit at the eastbound SR 836 ramp
- Exit at West Flagler Street, go east
- Enter northbound SR 826 ramp to access the eastbound SR 836 ramp
Saturday, October 18 - The westbound SR 836 ramp to southbound SR 826 will be closed on the following days between the hours of 11:45 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
- Exit at the northbound SR 826 ramp
- Exit at NW 25th Street, go west
- Access the southbound SR 826 ramp
Saturday, October 18 - The NW 57th Avenue entrance ramp to westbound SR 836 will be closed between the hours 11:45 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
Northbound drivers on NW 57th Avenue can:
- Go west on Perimeter Road/NW 12th Street
- South on Milam Dairy Road to access westbound SR 836 ramp
Southbound drivers on NW 57th Avenue can:
- Go west on NW 7th Street
- North on Milam Dairy Road to access the westbound SR 836 ramp
Saturday, October 18 - One inside eastbound lane on SR 836 will be closed between NW 72nd Avenue and NW 57th Avenue between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
