Traffic Alert: Heavier Congestion In Ft. Lauderdale For Boat Show

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) — Travelers will see additional delays Thursday through Monday for the 55th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Traffic will be heavier in the vicinity of the boat show.

Police believe the areas most impacted will be State Road A1A between SE 17 Street and Las Olas Boulevard and East Sunrise Boulevard from NE 20 Avenue to Bayview Drive.

The Andrews Avenue and SE 3 Avenue drawbridges will open on an on-demand basis from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Monday.

The Sunrise Boulevard Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway will open on the hour for 10-minutes during the Boat Show operating hours (10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday to Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.)
