Toy Prompts School Lockdown In Hollywood

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A child's toy prompted a school lockdown in Hollywood Tuesday morning.
Now, the student who brought it in may be facing disciplinary action.
It all started at Orange Brook Elementary School located at 715 S 46th Avenue.
A school officer got information just after 8 a.m. that a 5th grade student may have brought a gun in his bag prompting a search by police.
Authorities briefly put the school on lockdown until they ended up confirming it was a toy gun.
The parents of the child have been notified of the incident.
While he is facing disciplinary action as outlined in school policy, the specifics are unknown at this time.
