Tropical Depression Not Expected To Gain Strength In Coming Days

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The ninth tropical depression of the 2015 hurricane season formed on Wednesday far from land in the central tropical Atlantic.
The depression remains disorganized well away from land.
At 11 p.m. the center of tropical depression nine was located about 1075 miles east of the Lesser Antilles and about 1400 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands.
The storm's maximum sustained winds continued to be near 30 miles per hour with some higher gusts.
Tropical Depression Nine is moving toward the northwest near 7 miles per hour. This motion is expected to continue over the next 48 hours.
Little change in strength is forecast during the next couple of days, and the depression could become a remnant low by Friday.
There are no costal watches or warnings in effect at this time.
