Halloween decorations are rapidly becoming a popular things both on houses and in public places. These five places in South Florida are some of the top spots to check out Halloween decorations this year. Be sure to check them out for this year's fill of pumpkins, mummies, vampires and all things scary! Part of the Fantasy Fest in Key West, the Reddy Ice Fantasy Facade Competition showcases all those who entered in the competition with their home or business front Halloween decorations. Fantasy Fest is for adults only and is a 10-day party, including lots of festivities, costumes, Duval Street Fair, a Halloween parade and even a 5K run. Not only is this an excellent and safe neighborhood to trick-or-treat in, but all the houses here tend to be decked out for Halloween. Located in Fort Lauderdale in the loop from Highway 1 down to E. Broward Blvd., this Halloween enthusiastic neighborhood is well-known and busy on Oct. 31, so be sure to either show up earlier to check out the decorations and get candy or be prepared for the crowd. For those looking for a little something more than just simple Halloween decorations, a haunted house not only showcases festive decor but also provides fun and freights. One of the largest haunted houses in South Florida, House of Horror Amusement Park provides top notch Halloween entertainment and fun for the entire family. In addition to the thirty different 'rooms of terror' with tons of scary Halloween decorations and tricks, there are also rides, food, games and concerts every evening. Tickets cost $30 for adults and $15 for children 6 and under. House of Horror is located at Miami International Mall in the East parking lot.

Pasadena Lakes

Another safe and fun neighborhood to both trick-or-treat in and check out Halloween decor is Pasadena Lakes. This neighborhood is located in Pembroke Pines between Sheridan Street and University Drive. Home owners here not only are well-stocked on candy, but almost all of them deck their houses out in Halloween decor making the neighborhood almost a Halloween village. Halloween On The Mile

Celebrating it's 18th year, Halloween on the Mile is an annual tradition that takes place on Miracle Mile in downtown Coral Gables. Not only can families check out the great Halloween displays and candy the store fronts and restaurants have to offer, but the event includes a ton of other fun festivities such as photo opportunities, dog and children costume contests, balloon artists, face painters, and song and dance performances at the Actors' Playhouse.
