Top 3 New Food Items at Sun Life Stadium

Welcome to Be The Ball, a blog featuring Miami sports musings by @JoshBaumgard -- What is "be the ball?"

Today the Miami Dolphins were kind enough to put on a media tour of the new and improved Sun Life Stadium. We saw the upgrades, which were aplenty, but the most satiating part of this tour was the ending -- unlimited food from all the various vendors of the 2015 season.

I decided to embark on a stomach-stretching journey with the goal being to taste every single item offered in the room (dining area in club level).

Five minutes in and the dream was dead.

After throwing down a double cheeseburger, three wings, four sushi rolls, a mini cuban sandwich and a taco, I decided to audible because I didn't want my first impression in front of Dolphins CEO Tom Garfinkel to feature blowing chunks over the rail onto his beautiful new aqua seats.

Although you can't go wrong with wings from Bokamper's or burgers from BurferFi, the focus honed in on the new vendors, which are listed below, courtesy of Miami Dolphins and hospitality provider Centerplate.

Café Versailles (Sections 119A, 242A, 347)

Goya (Offered pre-game on the Grand Plaza)

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila (Sections 142A, 329, 345A)

Kosher Central (Section 111)

Paradise Cups (Section 154)

Sloppy Joe's Bar, A Key West Tradition (Sections 106, 144A, 317A)

Onto the top three.

Honorable Mention: Sloppy Joe's

3 - Corn Beef Sandwiches at Kosher Central

Maybe it's my Jewish upbringing, but nothing kills hunger better than a high-quality piece of meat squeezed into challah bread (egg bread). It beats chicken fingers any day.

2 - Reese's Shaved Ice at Paradise Cups

Next up we have a delicate OH MY GOD, WHAT IS THAT?

Authentic Hawaiian Shave Ice + Peanut Butter Chips + Chocolate Sauce (that hardens from the chill of the ice)

Now I know what you're thinking: how can you blend shaved ice with flavors typically designated to ice cream or froyo? Well I'm here to tell you it works. Don't know why. Don't know how. It just does.

Trust the process Paradise Cups dubs as gourmet snow creams and order one of these wild, refreshing concoctions. I'm not certain it's as delicious as elite froyo, ice cream, or gelato but I'm also not sure it's not on par with those either. It's TBD, with points for creativity.

In addition to the fruity typical shaved ice flavors, they offer: Birthday Cake, Key Lime Pie, S'mores, Reese's, Orange Dreamcicle, Rootbeer Float, Triple Coconut, and Strawberry Shortcake.

1 - The Tacos at Bodega Taqueria y Tequila

Not sure exactly what was in the two tacos I inhaled from Bodega but my taste buds lit up like a Christmas tree.

All standard stadium food -- fries, chicken fingers, nachos, etc -- is pure filth next to these tacos offered by the South Beach staple. Forget anything you thought you knew about stadium food and chase these nuggets from heaven down in sections 142A, 329, or 345A.

Dinner may not be feasible tonight, but at least I'll be dreaming of tacos.
