OAKLAND PARK (CBSMiami) -- Deputies are investigating the death of a toddler who somehow became entangled in a blind cord.

Broward Sheriff's deputies say the 2-year old girl was found unresponsive inside an Oakland Park home located at 4501 NE 15th Way.

Paramedics tried to revive the child. She was rushed to Holy Cross Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Neighbor Mike Matheson said he saw the tragedy unfold.

"I saw six deputies pull up in the driveway and rush into the home," he said.

Matheson said the family has lived at the home for about six months.

Deputies are not considering this a suspicious death.
