TMZ: Bieber To Strike Plea Deal In Miami Beach DUI Case

MIAMI  (CBSMiami) – It appears Justin Bieber's legal troubles in Miami may soon be over.

TMZ is reporting Justin Bieber will take a plea deal in his South Florida DUI case.

Bieber was taken into custody on January 23 after police said he was driving under the influence on Miami Beach during an illegal street race involving exotic cars.

Singer and Bieber pal Khalil Amir Sharieff was also arrested.

Bieber pled not guilty to driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving without a valid license.

TMZ now reports Bieber will plead guilty to reckless driving and the other charges.

They also say he will have to pay a fine and attend anger management classes but he won't be placed on probation.

Sharieff, according to TMZ, will cop the same plea, except he won't have to attend classes.

Once they both complete the requirements of the settlement, the reckless driving conviction will be wiped from their record, said TMZ.

There's more good news for the pop superstar. Bieber will not face a felony charge of robbery in Los Angeles despite a woman's claim the singer tried to steal her cell phone on May 12th at a miniature golf course.

The Los Angeles County district attorney decided the incident "does not warrant felony prosecution," according to a document obtained by CNN.

The case will now go to the Los Angeles city attorney to decide if a misdemeanor charge will be filed against Bieber.
