Tiger Bites Construction Worker

JUPITER (CBSMiami/AP) — Officials are investigating after a tiger bit a construction worker at a big cat sanctuary.

The Palm Beach Post reports the man was leaning up against a fence when he was bit. He suffered a non-life threatening injury to his hand.

The man was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center for treatment.

Florida Fish and Wildlife spokeswoman Amanda Phillips told the newspaper it appears the tiger was properly caged and that the owner of the facility was not at fault.
