Police Searching For Suspects After 3 People Shot By AK-47 In Opa-locka

OPA-LOCKA (CBSMiami) - Three people were shot in Opa-locka Saturday night and the suspects are still on the loose.
Police say those people were shot at with a high-powered rifle near Northwest 135th Street and Northwest 31st Avenue.
The shooting took place at approximately 9:30 p.m. Saturday night.
Two of the victims were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital, one by helicopter.
The third victim was taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance.

As officers arrived on scene, the gunman with an AK-47 continued to fire away.
"One of the supervisors arrived on scene," said Chief James Dobson with Opa-locka Police. "He actually witnessed one of the victims running towards him and he saw the subject actually firing his high-powered weapon towards the direction of the officer and the other victim. Once he saw the officer, he retreated."
Police are looking for three people in connection to this shooting.
The man with the ak-47 is described as African American, with a black hoodie on.
