Thousands Of Homes Without Power Across South Florida

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A severe storm moved through South Florida early Sunday morning, knocking out power for thousands of residents across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

The outages peaked at around 8:30 a.m. but several thousand homes remain without power.

Per FPL, there were 10,223 home in Miami-Dade county without power, 9,962 in Broward and 5,245 in Palm Beach.

As of 10:20 a.m. the number of outages went down to 5,983 in Miami-Dade, 5,613 in Broward and 1,424  in Palm Beach.

UPDATE

As of 12 p.m. the number of outages have decreased to 4,858 in Miami-Dade, 1,300 in Broward and 749  in Palm Beach.
