FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- Detectives have identified the kidnapping suspect who they believe stole a car with an infant in the back seat.

It happened Monday outside of a laundromat at 201 W. Sunrise Blvd.

Fort Lauderdale Police said Brian Jean, 16, took the car from the parking lot, before abandoning it a few hours later in Pompano Beach. The baby was still inside the vehicle when it was found.

Police said the child's mother, Susely Lopez, left her car running while she ran inside the laundromat. That's when the suspect jumped into the vehicle and took off.

Detectives identified Jean by fingerprints left inside the vehicle.

They are now trying to locate him.
