Teen Comes Out To Parents In Unforgettable Way

ANAHEIM, CA (CBSMiami) -- A 16-year old girl decided to make her ride in Disneyland an unforgettable one - coming out to her parents.

Gina decided the best way to do so was while riding Splash Mountain back in June.

A picture posted on her Twitter account shows the moment she came out.

Gina is pictured holding up a sign saying "I'm GAY" right before going down one of the drops on the ride.

She showed off the sign behind her mother's back who had no idea she was gay.

Gina said once her mother saw it, she had a positive reaction.

"My mom was super supportive and she just hugged me and told me she was proud of me," said Gina.

As for teens and adults wanting to come out, she has some advice.

"Make sure you come out where you're both mentally and physically in a place where you feel safe and confident!"
