Swim Advisory Lifted For Hobie Island & Jungle Island Beaches

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A swimming advisory has been lifted for the beach areas at Jungle Island, Hobie Island Beach Park, the Marine Stadium and the MAST Academy.

The advisory was first issued on July 4th after an overflow of wastewater from a pipe adjacent to the AmericanAirlines Arena caused a wastewater release into the surrounding surface waters.

The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County and the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources completed testing the affected waters and lifted the advisory once the test results were satisfactory.
