Sweetwater Calls For FDLE Audit

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The City of Sweetwater is being audited, but not by who you may think.

The review is being conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement at the city's request.

Mayor Orlando Lopez announced the audit at the commission meeting Monday night. He said FDLE officers would review personnel files some say have been mishandled.

Lopez also wants them to check the police department's property room to make sure everying is accounted for, including weapons.

Lopez changed the locks on the record department when he took over as mayor last month to ensure personnel files would not be tampered with.
