SUV Crashes Through Playground Fence

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A close call on a Hialeah playground on Sunday when a driver lost control and crashed through the fence.

Witnesses said the woman may have mistaken the gas for the brake when she drove over the parking stop, crashed through the chain link fence and ended up on the playground at Wilde Park.

There were several kids on the playground at the time. On girl called her dad a hero for his quick actions.

"I noticed that the car went over the block, my dad, I screamed at him and then he noticed there was a little kid behind him and he pushed the kid out of the way," said the girl.

Part of the chain link fence hit the man on the arm when he moved to save the child.

Police have not released any information about the driver.
