Suspicious Substance Found At Fort Lauderdale Police Department

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – There was hazardous scare at the Fort Lauderdale Police Department Monday.

A suspicious substance, which was reportedly mailed to the department, was found on the second floor of the building.

The building was evacuated and Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue personnel checked the substance through their hazmat monitoring devices.

The building was closed for over an hour while the fire department conducted their tests.

The department said no one was exposed to the substance which turned out to be absolutely nothing.
