Suspicious Package Detonated At Dade Target

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A suspicious package forced shoppers out of a Target in northwest Miami-Dade on Wednesday.

The package was reported sometime in the afternoon.

Bomb squad and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were called out to the scene.

Around 4:30 p.m., crews detonated the suspicious package. A small explosion could be seen and heard.

Authorities have not said what was in the suspicious package.

As of 5 p.m., the store remained closed.
