MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The all clear has been given after a scare at an Aventura bank.

Friday morning an employee at the Wells Fargo branch at 2929 Aventura Boulevard noticed something unusual in the lane used for the drive through ATM.

Police said the object looked like a motorcycle battery with wires sticking out of it.

The area was evacuated and a Miami-Dade police department bomb squad was called in.

"The entire block was shut down. Apparently there was a suspicious package in the Wells Fargo, or adjacent to the Wells Fargo bank, which is the next building over," said Dr. Mark Nestor who has an office in the area.

"I'd rather people be cautious, I'd rather our police and firefighters be cautious, it's a dangerous time out there and it's worth while being cautious. Obviously for our patients it's disruptive but I certainly understand," he added.

The object was checked and then police gave the all clear that it was safe to return to the area.
