WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBSMiami/AP) — A suspicious bag at Palm Beach International Airport prompted authorities to briefly close a concourse.

The Transportation Security Administration says Concourse C at the airport was closed for a short time Thursday as authorities tested the bag for TNT, which is the active ingredient in dynamite.

Airport officials say TSA agents were screening a piece of luggage around 6 p.m. for a departing flight when an agent noticed something suspicious.

Officials say the bag was turned over to hazmat and bomb squad officials with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

The concourse later reopened around 7:30 p.m.

Flights from JetBlue and Delta were delayed as a result of the security alert. A spokesman with the administration says Concourses A and B were not affected.
