Suspects Sought In Shooting At Southland Mall In Cutler Bay

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Police are looking for three suspects in the shooting of a man at Southland Mall in Cutler Bay on Thursday afternoon.

The suspects are described by authorities as one wearing a tan or beige hoodie and the rest wearing black.

The victim, who was shot in the back, was conscious and talking to police. He was rushed to a Jackson South Medical Center in stable condition.

Witnesses described a bloody and scary scene.

"I heard a loud bang and that is when my coworkers grabbed me and we went to the back," a mall worker told CBS4's Hank Tester..

Authorities said the shooting happened after the male victim got into a dispute with three other young males.

"Some guys were fighting, and then someone started shooting in front of the massages place," a witness said. "Everyone get scared and ran."

One section of the mall, on the north end, remained blocked off with police tape. Miami-Dade officers were paying close attention to one of the massage chairs.

No one else was injured during the shooting.

The mall is located in the 20500 block of South Dixie Highway.
