MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Police have made another arrest in the tragic shooting death of a 6-year-old boy in Miami.

Tameka Thompson, 41, was charged with two counts of evidence tampering.

Investigators said she hid the car believed to have been used in the murder of King Carter, the child caught in the alleged crossfire between feuding teenagers.

Thompson is the mother of Leonard Adams, 18, one of three teen suspects arrested so far. She paid a friend $50 to get rid of the car, according to the arrest report.

After an exhaustive search, detectives found that car at a junk yard. It proved to be a crucial piece of evidence in the investigation.

Because one of her charges is a capital felony, Thompson will remain behind bars without bond.

Authorities are still searching for the alleged target of the shooting -- another young individual who goes by the nickname "Ju Ju."
