KENDALL (CBSMiami) -- Police have arrested a man accused of robbing and attacking an employee at a vitamin store in Kendall.

Detectives said Darrin Galarza, 31, of Homestead, walked into the GNC store at 8312 Mills Drive last month, accompanied by a young girl, and asked an employee for an item locked away.

As he was looking at it, he told the girl to leave the store and shortly after, walked out himself without paying for the merchandise.

When the employee confronted him outside the store, Galarza allegedly threw the woman to the ground, causing a laceration to her hand.

Galarza is now facing charges of strong armed robbery and child neglect.
