Surfer Seeking "Better Waves" Wipes Out In Intracoastal Waterway

HILLSBORO BEACH (CBSMiami) – A South Florida woman looking to 'hang 10' in Deerfield Beach 'wiped out' instead in Hillsboro Beach.
The 33-year-old surfer was driving from Pompano Beach to Deerfield Beach seeking better waves when her car hydroplaned on 900 Hillsboro Mile.
Her car ended up in the Intracoastal Waterway around 4:00 p.m.
But there's more to the story-driver said she was surfing in Pompano, on way to Deerfield for "better waves" #HurricaneMatthew #stayinside

It was very windy and rainy at the time due to Hurricane Matthew.
Broward Sheriff's Office Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles said the woman was not seriously hurt.
