Sunrise Company Apologizes For Offensive Ad

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A Sunrise company has apologized for a 'help wanted' ad place in a New York newspaper that said Haitian's need not apply.

Interim HealthCare said their franchise in Nanuet, New York posted the ad in the Rockland Pennysaver which said no Haitians would be considered for a nursing position.

Interim HealthCare's President Katherine McNally released the statement which apologized and called the ad unacceptable and offensive.

The statement read in part, "We sincerely apologize for the offensive nature of the ad. We are working with our franchisee to understand how this occurred. The franchisee has retained an independent third party to conduct a review of what occurred."
