Subtropical Depression Andrea Downgraded To Remnant Low

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The official hurricane season hasn't even started yet but there has already been one named storm in 2019.

Andrea was a subtropical storm that formed Monday night west-southwest of Bermuda.

Late Tuesday it was downgraded to a remnant low.

At 5 p.m., the system was located about 230 miles west-southwest of Bermuda. Maximum sustained winds decreased to 35 mph as it moved to the east-northeast at eight miles per hour.

The system is forecast to take a turn toward the northeast and east tonight.

There are no watches or warnings in effect for this storm.

Additionally, the National Hurricane Center will no longer be providing advisories on the storm.
