In a study by WalletHub, Miami ranked as the 35th best city for football fans. It ranked 13th in basketball, 24th in baseball, 350th in hockey, and 149th in soccer.
The Magic City came in at 22nd overall for "best cities for sports fans," placing 15th among those considered "large cities." The overall rating is weighted, factoring in football (49%) significantly more than, say, soccer (9%).
Their methodology? The study factors in a variety of things, such as team performance, average ticket prices, stadium accessibility, championships won, sports bars per capita, fan engagement, and attendance.
