MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- If you're skipping out on a good night's sleep, you might want to reconsider it.

A new study shows a link between bad sleep and higher risks of Alzheimer's Disease.

Researchers at Washington University's School of Medicine found sleep disruption leads to an increase in two proteins that are connected with the disease.

Researchers said a couple of nights of bad sleep aren't harmful but chronic sleep problems can be a problem.
