Stradford On Gase: "He Sees A Good Quarterback In Ryan Tannehill"
Former Miami Dolphins running back Troy Stradford joined the Big O Show on 560 WQAM to discuss the Dolphins expectations for the upcoming season and his addition to Miami's broadcast team.
On Adam Gase:
"I like how he has assembled his staff. I look at the personnel and the players also and you have a mixture of young guys who are ready to prove themselves both on the coaching staff and the players in the locker room. And then you have the veterans who may be questioned but they've been proven. I think one of the key things for the Miami Dolphins right now is they need to stay healthy. Early on in the first 8 games of the season, the Miami Dolphins, they can't afford to have some major injuries."
On the Dolphins being ready:
"When it comes to this Miami Dolphins team, forget about the record right now, as long as this team is ready you see everybody on the right page. And one thing that I've already picked up about Coach Gase is the fact that he's already playing the game in his head and I'm pretty certain this team will be prepared for every possible situation."
On Ryan Tannehill and Adam Gase:
"I know that Coach Gase, it's a fact that he helped Peyton Manning get better, it's a fact that he broke Jay Culter down, started over with him, rebuilt him to be a better football player. He sees a good Quarterback in Ryan Tannehill. Now the million dollar question, can he really get him to the next level? Believe that he believes that he can get it done. And if he [Tannehill] doesn't get it done than the Miami Dolphins are going to have some decisions to make because the product, the philosophy, the system is proven to work with Adam Gase, so there's no reason Ryan Tannehill, there's no excuse for him this year."
