Stoops: Criticism of Jordan Phillips' Work Ethic is 'Overblown'
Was the pre-draft criticism of the work ethic of Dolphins rookie Jordan Phillips overblown?
Let's ask Bob Stoops, his college coach at Oklahoma.
"I think it's overblown," Stoops said on 560 WQAM's Joe Rose Show. "Every guy, everybody wants to say a certain guy is supposed to make every play. Well, the other guys on the other team are pretty good you play against as well. I don't see that being the case.
"I think he's definitely a great player. When you look at just his size and the ability to move all of it, Jordan's gonna do an excellent job I believe. So I think it's a great fit. We sure will miss him. I sure wish he was back for us."
