MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Amid rumors of a trade involving Miami's Goran Dragic and the Sacramento Kings, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra reportedly told the point guard that they're not true.

According to the Sun-Sentinel's Ira Winderman, Spoelstra addressed the trade rumor directly with Dragic and put the rumor to rest.

The Miami Herald also squashed the rumor.

Kings small forward Rudy Gay was mentioned in the trade. If not via trade, Jackson believes the Heat may still pursue him.

It's been a difficult offseason for Heat fans, who will have to cope without Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in uniform. The team now turns to youngsters Hassan Whiteside and Justise Winslow, and it remains to be seen who else is truly in the organization's long-term plans.

Wade returns to Miami for the first time when the Bulls visit on November 10th.
