Special Legislative Session To Deal With Budget

TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) — A special 20-day special Florida legislative session is scheduled to get underway Monday afternoon.
State legislative leaders have until June 30th to pass a new state budget or else face a government shutdown. They've promised to get their work done in time.
Republican leaders in the House and Senate have been at odds over health care and health care spending.
The regular spring session abruptly ended after the House adjourned three-and-half days early.
House Republicans were opposed to a Senate proposal to draw down federal money to pay for health care coverage to 800,000 Floridians.
Senate leaders have tweaked their proposal but House leaders and Gov. Rick Scott remained opposed.
