Southbound I-95 Re-Opens Near SW 8th St.

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A section of I-95 near downtown Miami has re-opened to traffic after it was shutdown early Tuesday morning due to a serious accident.

The overnight accident happened in the southbound lanes at SW 8th Street. All lanes of the highway were shutdown because a car involved in the crash was blocking the center lane. Drivers were forced to exit at eastbound I-395.

The Florida Highway Patrol said one man was ejected from the vehicle. No word on how seriously he was injured.
