South Florida Travelers Stranded By Another Northern Snowstorm

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Travelers expecting to be home Sunday night were frozen at Miami International Airport.
"I should've stayed in Costa Rica a lot longer," said Mike Ridenhour.
Ridenhour said his flight to St. Louis was cancelled in anticipation of a snowstorm.

The nasty weather up north has led to numerous delays and cancellations throughout the day at MIA and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
"Our flight is delayed by an hour and 15 minutes and we have class in the morning," said traveler Haley Clements.
The University Of Maryland softball team found themselves frustrated trying to get back from a tournament.
"We're all trying to do homework and get home as fast as we could and I mean nothing's moving," said Clements.
Clements said a winter storm is hitting hard in her home state, but other travelers can't understand why they can't get to their destinations.
Many said they missed connecting flights because their planes couldn't get a gate and were stuck on the tarmac.
"The pilot could not get to the gate and we sat on the plane for like one hour," said Janice Hinds.
"I'm angry really frustrated, tired and hungry," said Justina Thompson.
And after tempers cooled, the strategy was the same for all travelers, figure a way out.
"Tomorrow evening is the soonest flight we can fly out if we're going to go home it will be a different way – Amtrak car," said Ruth Ridenhour.
