Smoky Grass Fire Burns In SW Miami-Dade

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBSMiami) – Power was restored Wednesday night for residents in an area affected by a brush fire that started burning in the afternoon.

The fire burned in the area of SW 118th Avenue and SW 228th Street.

The power was restored to all residents by 9 PM Wednesday, according to Florida Power and Light.

The fire, according to FPL, had affected some poles.

Forestry said it's a grass fire that affected approximately 10 acres.

Fire officials said Wednesday afternoon that the fire was contained.

No injuries were reported.
